How are you? Have new guests already?

First of all thank you very much for editing table it was opened last Saturday and it uplifted everybody.
Sending you some pictures from the celebrations
also check our blog
Super8 Picnic in a Hand visiting WORM lab

and photos too

I have more questions for you, do you know when could we expect the digital 16mm negatives and the money for the table transportation?
And also, I have just read that it is damaging to use the stabilizer in tanks and reels. Is it so? As we always use it, and according to the info, it can damage the tools. How do deal with it?

Thanks a lot for everything!

kisses from Egis too

Just to say my flight is at 15:20 from Bristol so after a train and a little visit in Amsterdam I think Ill be in Rotterdam around 7 or 8?

Shall I come to Worm and see you there?

How's things?

So the last roll of Kodachrome is finally shot tonight.. I've got the form from Dwayne's too http://www.dwaynesphoto.com/common/newforms/Movie_Film.pdf

Thing is I don't have a printer, and I'm not sure if I'll be able to get to the Post Office tomorrow or Tuesday as we're filming all day in Amsterdam. Could I maybe drop the films to you at Worm tomorrow evening?

Or if you think it's better I'm sure I can ask my neighbour to post them for me or something.

Hope all is good with you, speak soon

Matt

When last time I was in the Filmwerkplaats a couple of weeks ago, Esther and I discussed the idea of doing a performance of my work in Worm. This mail is to remind you of my forthcoming performance in OFFoff in Ghent. It would be great to see you there, or if you can't make it there, to talk about the possibilities sometime soon.
here's a link to OFFoff's website:

all the best,

absent without leave

I arrive tomorrow at 15:40
I think I can find my way to WORM and the guest house, but don't know how to get the key. I'll send you a text from the road.

I don't have a beard anymore, just a groovy moustache.

Hope to see you soon!
Peter

I'm in Zagreb now, showing different work than Paris, but Paris went very well, thank you for asking.
I showed a recent optical sound film there, I think I've told you about it. It's called Chladni Scheme.
There is a description of it here. But I also did that series of three film performances, called Fulcrum Films.

i have three documents of the performances on my website, they are these:
http://www.petermiller.info/fulcrum1.html
http://www.petermiller.info/fulcrum2.html
http://www.petermiller.info/fulcrum3.html

Christopher Becks shot some video of the last performance (Fulcrum Film III) in Paris, but it is a little hard to see. I posted it here:
http://vimeo.com/15251543

And if you are curious about my other performances, I have a 35mm performance called "forever film", where I am a projectionist changing over between two reels of 35mm film showing a projectionist changing over between two reels of film. It can be hard to describe or imagine, but it is very simple when it is seen. I have a document of it here, where you can see what is on the screen as well as what I do in the booth:
http://www.petermiller.info/foreverfilm.html

The other performances I do are Movies with Live Soundtrx, which was an event run by Xander Marro in Providence in the early 2000s. They were incredible shows, where the filmmakers had to produce their own soundtracks. Not always very serious, but really fun to watch. Here's a document of me doing three of my films live: http://www.petermiller.info/movieswithlivesoundtrx.html
She took the show on a tour in the US once, in 2004, with a few of the filmmakers. They were great shows.

Sorry this is a lot of links. I could also send you a DVD if you'd like. I just don't have one prepared with my performances on it. I hope everything is going well at WORM. I miss my great adventures in your lab. I would love to tell you about the optical sound project I started there. It's called "Insound-Out". I'm excited.

Best wishes to you and yours,
Peter Miller

Hey!
Yes we read this guy too. But what does he mean by "the orange position"?

hi vassily
found it and checked it with my camera (where the hell is my manual:-))
what is said underneath is to use the wide angle attachement (can by used
both under as above water) that after putting on the wideangele adapter
(and having the PMA lever to the orange position) you have to move the zoom
lever al the way up. an orange lamp inside the camera will glow (only when
you camera is ON) but if you look through the viewfinder you will see the
image get sharp as well
the wideangele is an fixedfocus and sharp from macro till endless (all
these wide angle adapters are actually)

have fun
There is no orange position on the lever. Maybe he means the lens!

Its all orange to me
